When trimming the lamination, I leave about a half inch of lamination to hole punch.

I have a silhouette cameo machine and I made a vinyl stencil. You can use any letter stencil though. Or letter stamps could work also.

Just found you and I love your envelopes! I tried to print the template for the flap envelope but unfortunately I only have a black and white printer. Is there any way you would share the dimensions please. If not, I totally understand! Thank you so much for your very easy to follow video!

@@debbiehopson8071 the template is just the dimensions for the envelope and can be cut out and traced onto Whatever paper you want to use. It is a blank outline. You can print on your printer in black ink.

At the time I sold on Etsy and I would make book marks or use the scraps as note paper to add to my orders. I only did these flap envelopes Ada custom order for ones who ask. I usually only made the no flap ones which you could Get two out of and less scraps and also they would be less oddly shaped. More squares and rectangles.

@@TiffanyBush Im obsessed with making envelopes I love how you made the ones with the flap. I also have a few of those 12x12 packages and I guess if we’re making envelopes for us it wouldn’t be so bad or a waste but to sell might be a different story. Thanks for sharing 🥰

I made my own template just by eyeballing it. I did describe how I did it and the measurements in the description though. Hope this helps.

You could mod podge fabric over it or depending on the paper or material you could try to scuff it up. If not then dab paint on with a sponge. Let dry and do in layers. I don’t suggest using vinyl as a stencil because it will probably take the paint right off. If possible I would try to get matte or fabric covered books.

Take an exacto knife and lightly score the line your folding on just make sure you use very little pressure as to not cut all the way through. You could also take a card or something sturdy with a straight edge and use it across the fold instead of using pressure from your fingers.

Gracious so sorry - I didn’t even read the description 🤦🏼‍♀️🙄 Do you feel the flap envelopes open wider than the non-flaps? Some of my envelopes get CHUNKY after I’ve been stuffing for a long time 😬

@@gentry8907 yes even if just slightly bigger. The bigger you make the inside v the wider and more easy it can open. Just remember the bigger the opening, the bigger the flap has to be. These are super customizable for your liking. I like that they close and the money won’t all fall out.
